Montrice Crockett Introduces a Soulful New Sound With Upcoming Single “Breathe On Me”

Christian R&B artist Montrice Crockett is preparing to release her new single, “Breathe On Me,” on January 15, 2027. Combining upbeat contemporary Christian R&B with warm, soulful vocals, the track introduces a confident sound centered on faith and the importance of seeking God's presence in everyday life.

At its heart, “Breathe On Me” is a direct expression of spiritual dependence. Its central plea reflects the desire for God's guidance and strength, particularly during moments of uncertainty or personal struggle.

The song also acknowledges human imperfection. Its message recognizes that people do not always get things right, yet can continue moving forward by trusting in God's grace, promises, and light. Through this honest perspective, Crockett presents faith not as an expectation of perfection but as a source of reassurance throughout life's challenges.

Bringing the Song to Life

With an upbeat arrangement and a melody designed for singing along, “Breathe On Me” brings together accessible contemporary production and a message rooted in Christian belief.

Crockett's approach reflects her interest in creating music that listeners can enjoy while connecting with its meaning. Rather than separating spirituality from everyday experiences, the song draws attention to the role faith can play in navigating ordinary responsibilities, difficult decisions, and moments when encouragement is needed.

Ahead of its official release, Crockett is sharing the track through pre-release performances, giving audiences an opportunity to hear it before January 15. These appearances also allow listeners to experience how the song's sound and message translate into a live setting.

A Musical Journey Shaped by Faith and Real Life

Born and raised in the Bay Area, California, with Baton Rouge Creole roots, Montrice Crockett draws on faith and personal experiences to shape her musical identity.

Her debut single, “Amazing,” featuring 1K Phew, marked an important milestone in her recording career. According to the artist's supplied information, the song debuted at number 173 before climbing to number 25 on Mediabase internet radio and number 87 on the mainstream chart.

She later released “Her Love,” a song exploring single motherhood and postpartum life. The project was made available as both a standalone single and a five-track EP, addressing experiences that are often deeply personal and emotionally complex.

These releases reflect Crockett's interest in creating music around subjects that resonate beyond the listening experience. While “Her Love” explored motherhood and postpartum life, “Breathe On Me” turns toward spiritual reassurance and the importance of maintaining faith through life's uncertainties.

With “Breathe On Me,” Crockett continues developing her identity within contemporary Christian R&B. The single brings together the soulful sound associated with her musical direction and a message that encourages listeners to seek strength and guidance through faith.
